BENJAMIN

Benjamin Fisher-Ling was born to Meri Lin Ling and Fred Fisher on October 2, first featured in Issue #0413. Unlike his older sister Amanda, he seems to be surprisingly normal; he takes after his mother (with dark eyes and dark hair), and has the ear shape and number of fingers and toes most would expect. He was born on his exact due date and so far seems to be growing up as a normal child, which is a big relief to his parents, but they're hoping he doesn't have any tricks up his tiny sleeves.

Benjamin is just shy of the exact average for his height and weight (like, 49th percentile all down the line) and has black hair, dark brown eyes with his father's eye shape, and a medium East Asian complexion like his mother. He got his first teeth, crawled, and walked right on schedule. He cries rarely and is very good at regulating his own emotions, leaving Meri Lin a little bewildered about her role in his care. He does not seem to exhibit joy readily, having to be coaxed into smiling or laughing, and sometimes will actually act out joyful actions like dancing without much of an expression on his face. (His doctor is not worried, but his mother is.) Benjamin is developing an interest in building and kicking a ball around. He has been enrolled in a daycare program to expose him to other children, and he readily interacts with the other children in his small play group (Kenneth and Rafael).
