Oh my. I can relate so much. Including the ear piercing bit. That bothered me for years until finally, quite recently, at the age of 60, I thought "you know what? I've tried earrings with clips, and screws, and even magnets, and in all cases the sweet spot between 'so tight it pinches' and 'so loose it falls off' is vanishingly small." So I finally bit the bullet and had it done. And, OK, it was weird (didn't really hurt, though!), and the aftercare was a bit of a hassle... but now I'm enjoying my earrings. :-)

So Titanic just came out? Nice subtle hint at what year it is.
