I remember this feeling. Moving from a barn to a mansion at age 9, there was so much I didn't know. But Ivy doesn't have anyone female from Earth to hang out with, and she's been raised by aliens for more than ten years, so doesn't remember anything from earliest childhood. Outsider, but I've always had family (number 7 of 14 from parents and stepparents). I like the hair. It's always good to find something in common with potential future friends.
