Aww, poor Ivy. She needed a bit of humbling, but that kind of did come
across as harsh. Adele's gonna have to be a little more tactful in future, I'm
thinking. |

This reminds me of a specific child I once played with for like half an
hour or so... We went to somebody's home when I was younger and there was a kid who
knows me and the kid wanted to play with me but couldn't make up her mind, she wants
to play something, then a few minutes later gets bored and decides to do something
else and this goes on and on... Just like Ivy wanting to try every job but get tired
very quick. And if you go tell that to a child straightforward like Adele did, that
might break the child's heart like that. Fortunately for the adults, most children
don't remember such trivial things when they grow up... And kids have got to learn
life somehow... |

I suspect a fair amount of the hurt isn't shame. She got started on the
job thing because of what Weaver said - "a job is why we're important". Adele has
unintentionally just proven that Ivy isn't important because she can't finish a job.
Hopefully Adele's approach to her after this will include a job that she really can
do well without quickly getting bored. |
