I dunno, how the heck do animals live outside? How did prehistoric people live in caves?
Not sure how long you've been reading, but though I'm not generally very specific about geography, Issue #305 is about Adele getting on a train and specifying that she's going to the East Coast. (For the record, it's Connecticut.) Also, you're not the only person who thinks it would be difficult to pull off "the cave thing" in this area. Alix said something similar in Issue #297.
