And now they're married... or is it a civil union? I like that effect you did in the last panel with the names. Makes me think someone else has been playing with their editing software too! >Z<

Yay, they have names now! I must admit I have been wondering for months how they would go about choosing names for each other. I had imagined that "Weaver" might be derived from the 70's song "Dream Weaver". And I initially though "Dax" might come from Deep Space Nine, but this story takes place way before the show even aired.

I just can't get over how adorable this two are. Is it bad that I think there's something very romantic about this? In a... platonic way. >_>

"And now they're married... or is it a civil union?"
They are domestic partners. My paternal grandmother lived with her brother after her husband was killed in WWII. They were domestic partners and raised my dad together. The Odd Couple in the old TV show were domestic partners. It isn't necessary to be sexually involved to be domestic partners - in fact sexual involvement tends to drive you apart after a while:

AHH, but Oscar and Felix didn't have a "name each other" ceremony nor were they NEARLY as cool and entertaining together as DaxEr.

You must have agonized over how to write this one.
