I must say, this Webster thread is definitely as realistic as any imagined alien romantic encounter could be. I'm on pins and needles.
If Webster was Jewish or Christian, would he interpret the Old Testament prohibition against "lying with a beast" to be "any non-human" or "any non-sapient being"? I could make a case for either. Or both. Will they maintain a chaste intimacy after the revelation, like intimate friends?
