I want to say 'Poor Meri Lin', but, like, all my comments start 'poor *insert major character's name here*', so I won't.
I do feel sorry for her, though. Amanda's kind of drifting away from her parents a little... metaphorically. Though she's capable of doing it literally.

Meri-Lu's anxieties are utterly believable. I have a 3 year-old nephew; I can easily see my sister responding almost identically in the same situation. Very well done.
