Where did Adele learn a idiom like Fly Under the Radar, Webster? Actually, I think maybe he did mention something like that, I'll have to go back and look.
Weaver would definitely know a bunch of human phrases because he watched an unhealthy amount of t.v. |

Adele speaks English natively since she was a child, as learned from an Earthling English-speaker. She'd be familiar with whatever idioms her teacher used, though she may have asked those questions herself if she had wondered at the time. Adele also did tons of reading in the library when she first came to the human world, so it's likely she became familiar with more figures of speech at that time in her life if there were any she knows now that she didn't know then. We're definitely not going to see a specific Negative One episode that explains her knowing every idiom she knows. (That also goes for Weaver and Dax. They all read and listen to the radio and talk to each other on and off the page.) |
