NOTES FROM OTHERS:

Alright, who are those two little kids that said they want to be a lawyer and a business manager when they grow up? I want names. Those kids need a whooping from the fun police.

Well that seems really mean for no reason, wanting to bully fictional little children because their career choices aren't appealing to you. Ask a group of kids what they want to be when they grow up sometime. A chunk of them just repeat whatever their understanding is of what their parents do. There are video games and television shows that make lawyers look glamorous. And though business managers aren't really glamorized anywhere, they're very common, so that leads to lots of kids who think their parents' careers seem neato.

You have been responding to my comments! I'm just not getting emails, so there must be like 10-50 responses I didn't see. (I think?) we're both on the autism spectrum, so I'll clarify that my comment was facetious and not a serious indictment to little kids (who may or may not exist). It just seems like one of those things no kid says, except in cartoons (but I don't think even busytown explored those jobs), like Hank Hill wanting to be a propane salesman when he grows up (that's canon and that flashback is freakin' hilarious by the way — "Astronaut!" "Football Player!" "Movie Star!" "Propane Salesman!"). I wanted to be a scientist when I grew up but I had the cartoon stereotype of scientists in my head (very Dexter's lab). Well... a computer science degree isn't far off eh?

I'm not e-mailing you. No, I don't identify as autistic and don't have any such diagnosis. It is very impolite to armchair diagnose people. You shouldn't. I know your comments are facetious. I think they are nevertheless very mean--the consistent drumbeat of "wow, if these kids were real I would bully them!" leaves a very bad taste in my mouth, and the way I've responded indicates I don't think it is funny at all, so it would definitely be better if you stop saying weird judgy things about hypothetical people in this comic.

I promise I will never bully Melanie! Woah, you didn't take the er, negativity in my deluge of 20 or so past comments very well. You outright deleted my Das_Mervin explosion when Ivy broke Alix's arm! Noooo, it was a masterpiece; my worst comment is gone ='(
swankivy
I'm not "deleting" comments but I don't know what Das_Mervin is and I don't really care what you meant by that. (Please do not explain yet another reference to me.) This also has nothing to do with Melanie. Just stop starting discourse in my comments with totally unnecessary snide comments. You seem to think you're joking around and I'm in on the joke but I think I've made it really clear I'm experiencing it as you just saying a bunch of random mean things, and if you're saying even at this late date that some missing awful comment was a masterpiece, I have to conclude that you're doing it on purpose.

Any comments left here are PUBLIC. If you are not comfortable with that, mail me directly.
