Minor nit: the sea mammals we know have *more* natural insulation (blubber), as water conducts much more heat than air. Of course, Alix is not "the usual", but that does seems to be a maladaptation.

Yikes! Stuff that Adele hasn't even pondered? It's okay. I haven't either. Interesting art work in this issue. Glad you don't feel bound to one style (or viewpoint) even though I've gotten used to your 'standard style' here.
