I wonder if there is someone in the author's life like Alix? Me? I'm a bigger version of Weaver - I do usually make such situations worse. But sometimes, cutting through all the layers of irrational psychotic crap is just what is needed.
Self pity seems to be an addiction, like alcohol - progressively taking over sections of the brain for its own purposes.
