I don't remember there being two species on Adele's planet.

Adele's is the native species of Ailashuo. The "invaders" who took over everything long ago are Shioans. Meeting Shelshay was a loooong time ago, wasn't it?

So you've been holding back this bombshell since the beginning? So I was already spoiled by the comments, but I was about to guess if it's those wierd people with no lips and anime faces with a black rorscach on it. Before we were a mature species — what does that mean? They were cavemen back then? Or monkeys?

It's common knowledge in Adele's world that the Shioans invaded their world at the dawn of their history, and it's only new to her now. Discussion of the Shioans' conquering of various dimensions doesn't appear blatantly in the comic, but some of the supplementary materials on the comic's page have had the details of Shioan invasion since long before this comic was published. I'm not sure why you're referring to "spoilers" or "guessing" regarding who invaded, because the Shioans were always called Shioans in the comic. I'd guess species "mature" when they become sapient. They must have been very early in their development because no original Ailaoan languages survived.
