Fireworks Most holidays have traditional celebrations associated with them, but not everyone enjoys these traditions. Which widespread holiday observance would you rather your culture NOT observe? Why? |

yeah it would be scary for a little girl who doesn't know about fireworks, must be like the end of the world/war/bombs or something to her. That guy's such a douche calling Ivy 'it' all the time like she's some bug. *puts 'L' for loser sign above forehead and points at douchey guy*. | ||

What a jerk@$$. But why is the family coming home at that time but before the
fireworks are over? Also, I thought they were in the city. Are those the city
fireworks? If so, why are they so close and not over the harbor?

The family didn't "come home"--they never left. They were home and staying up for New Year's. The family lives in New York City, yep. No, the pictured fireworks are not over a harbor. Fireworks are visible and audible all over the place in most urban areas around New Year's. Fireworks below a certain power are legal to shoot off and the ones that were relatively close to baby Ivy were smallish store-bought jobs likely shot by amateurs. |
