Have you ever had a clubhouse or private meeting spot that you fixed up or outfitted with special furnishings? What did you do there? If you never had such a thing, did you wish you did? How did you imagine it?

NOTES FROM OTHERS:

Melanie needs to learn the difference between dumb/stupid and naive/ignorant. Both can be equally dangerous, but the second can be fixed. And there are many dimensions of intelligence. People can be "stupid" in some areas, and very wise/smart in others. As an extreme example, people with Down's syndrome are (usually) a pleasure to serve because of their gratitude and eagerness to help - despite their obvious lack of normal intelligence. Their positive attitude shows a lot of wisdom.

Yes, and I doubt readers of this comic need much of a lesson on telling the difference between ignorance and stupidity, but as a grade-schooler who pretty much calls everything "dumb," I think your lecture would be lost on Melanie.

Awww, this was a really cute one. I'm hoping to one day see a whole big reunion thing with Amanda and everyone she met along the way. There could be flashbacks like a "clips episode" on a sitcom. Hey, the author could even "How I Met Your Mother" it and bring a flash forward, flashback episode out so I don't have to wait for Amanda to grow up first.
