The Root of Belief If Alix HAD expressed some kind of recognition of or support for a feminine divine, do you think Dax would have happily accepted a new brother the way he did Weaver? Or do you think Dax has preconceived notions that humans CAN'T share their beliefs--at least not in the same way? In other words, do you think Dax would have deliberately excluded Alix from his deeper philosophies no matter what? |

I really like that Dax's first instinct was to question what he believed, which was
earlier a source of debate with Weaver. An open mind like that is appreciated.
However, I find it strange that he was so willing to question one beliefe but seems
so dogmatic about most of the rest of his religion to the point of latching onto a
belief and debating his correctness with a fellow follower. Maybe it's all just my lack of being able to read any unbroken course of logic into religion. ?Z? |
