Did I forget something? Is the colonel someone we met before?
As soon as they call the police and say "We found a baby with pointed ears," they'll get connected with mom and dad, right??

It's obvious now that the timelines aren't synched up, because meri lin woke up the next day a few pages ago. Yeah, I read your note about how you're too far ahead on Adele at this point. But this is weird.
They didn't think to report a pointy eared baby in their home? Or do they want to hoard her for themselves? This should have been resolved quickly unless they have some selfish motives.

What a strange take. This lady thinks she found a supernatural creature. She's not acting at all like she hopes to "hoard" or take advantage. People who believe in magic don't call the cops when they think they found magic.
