...I am reminded a little of Peter Pan now. Which is most likely because it's been wandering around my brain for quite a while. But there is a slight resemblance, and now I can't un-see it.

Huh. Meri Lin is VERY different from Mrs. Darling. Wendy's mom never did close the window at all. Of course, they lived in stinky London, where the flies have plenty to do in other unmentionable places. And that whole family was just bonkers. Imagine living a year of your life inside a dog kennel.
I really like Fred. I think I like him more than Meri, just because he's so cheerful. It's pretty brave of him to act like himself while their baby is missing.
