So, these extraterrestrial beings are our explanation for cryptids and mythological creatures, right? Thursday's a fairy (they are CANONICALLY confirmed to be faeries from "fae"), Tabitha's a troll or some kind of forest nymph with the green hair, Dax resembles bigfoot, weaver is like a vampire or imp, Neptune's a angel or valkyrie, and Adele is... a werewolf, I guess; I always thought she looked like a Goof Troop character. The odd ones out are those Shioans. I think the originality to their alienness suggests they've never been to earth before; which makes sense, because if the had ever got to our dimension, they would have taken over as our alien overlords. So there must be other dimensions with Centaurs and Kappas and stuff, right? The Fae world itself must be full of pixies and sprites and other fairy-like creatures. |

Thursday is a Faerie and Fae is the human world's sister dimension. That connection was established in the comic VERY early (discussed in issue #8). They're prominent in our folklore because they can travel into our dimension easily without significant memory loss (and we can also disappear into their world). No, it doesn't follow from that that every other character represents an existing mythological creature, or that every mythological creature we have corresponds to creatures from other dimensions. (I don't know how you stretch and get werewolves when looking at Adele. The story is not inspired by these tenuous connections to existing ideas you seem really fixated on making.) |
