DR. WELLS

In Issue #0081, Meri Lin is worried about her baby's future and looks up some information on experiments and investigations scientists and academics have done on supposedly telekinetic people. In doing this, she comes across the work of Dr. Wells.

Posing as "Mary," a student doing a report, Meri Lin calls Dr. Wells and has a brief conversation with him about his skepticism regarding real-life cases of telekinesis, and he says most claimants made excuses why they couldn't perform when they were put in conditions that could be appropriately monitored. Meri Lin wants to know from him what would happen if they actually did find a person with macrotelekinetic powers, and Dr. Wells says the experiments and the telekinetic person would become national security.

He seems like a nice person who is willing to help a curious student, and never seems to suspect that Meri Lin is asking these questions because they apply to her daughter.
