NORA AND MARTY

Nora and Marty are an older couple who act as the first extended human contact baby Ivy has with people after flying out of her bedroom window--Issue #0170. Understandably shocked to find a baby in the kitchen, Nora immediately wants to take care of her, while Marty is trying to figure out where she came from. It becomes obvious very quickly that the baby can fly--she has no experience learning not to do so in front of strangers--so Marty begins to think she's a supernatural creature. During the very short time in their care, Ivy does get a good night's rest and some food, but when she burns herself trying to play with a coffeepot and Marty freaks her out by not comforting her, she gets angry and flies away.
