MOVING LADY

In Issue #0977, Ivy is sent by Adele to help a woman who's moving out of her apartment. She's gotten into quite a bind because her boyfriend was supposed to help her load her truck but he broke his arm the same day she rented the truck, and her only other local friend is busy being in a play in another city, so she's just trying to load the truck herself with the help of a single dolly cart. When Ivy encounters her, she does her best to maintain an indifferent attitude about how strong she is, but she quickly realizes how long it is going to take to pretend to do all this physically, so she explains her powers to the woman and asks permission to load her truck telekinetically. The moving lady--who was specially picked by Adele for her easygoing temperament--is chill about the experience, makes a few jokes, and even offers Ivy a drink and some chat afterwards. She seems very nonchalant about offering insight into Ivy's outsider experience. Ivy leaves the encounter a bit disturbed, feeling like it was just too easy and she may have "cheated."
