LENA AND LENA'S MOMMY

In Issue #0087, Meri Lin stubbornly wants to be allowed to bring her baby into the outside world and is determined to socialize, so one day she goes to the park with baby Amanda. She is approached by toddler Lena playing outside, with her mother following, so Meri Lin ends up talking to the other mommy and feeling very much like an outsider. The other mother keeps asking questions about Amanda that feel inappropriate (like what's wrong with her hands).

When Amanda uses her powers to hold a butterfly, Lena's mommy is confused by the sight and points it out. Meri Lin pretends it had gotten caught in a spider web, scoops up her daughter and lies that she's stinky, and leaves, feeling like it had been ridiculous of her to try socializing when it could be dangerous.
